Yet Another Steaming Mass of Pungent Ruhe/Pannobhasa Video Links (Dec-Jan 20-21)

Good old Brian Ruhe and I continue to produce videos of us sitting there talking about stuff, usually Buddhism, the political situation, human nature, and various strange philosophical issues. It’s a good time and I don’t think we’ll stop doing this anytime real soon.

In addition to that I have relatively recently started up a Bitchute channel, where I have been uploading lots of older stuff I have done, in addition to the new stuff, most but not all of it with Herr Brian. It turns out we’ve done LOTS. It’s kind of amazing the number of videos we’ve done already. I do not include the links to the older stuff here, though it can be found on my newish channel, and more on Brian’s Monk Truthers playlist on his own channel, and the links to those are given down below.

I am moving away from YouTube for the fairly obvious reason (fairly obvious to non-normies anyway) that it is becoming a censorious platform for the corporate globalist official narrative, turning what was once a people’s platform for free expression into a site for indoctrinated sheeple, managed by a Machiavellian corporate Ministry of Truth, with bullshit propaganda under people’s videos, shadow banning, outright banning, manipulation of search algorithms, etc. So I post much more stuff on Bitchute now than on YouTube, despite the aggravating difficulty of getting videos to process there, and may move to other alternative video platforms eventually, as the thought police are real, and they are coming for anyone who refuses to believe what they are told.

Also I have started doing solo videos answering questions, mostly but not entirely from my subscribers on SubscribeStar. The link to the first one (with the second coming up soon) is given down below also. It doesn’t necessarily cost anything to sub to my channel there even, as there is a free tier where people can simply receive notifications of my content, and none of the content there costs money. Dhamma especially is priceless, and should be free whenever possible. (You can donate if you like though, and will earn merit.) Anyway, enjoy, and if you have any questions, burning or otherwise, you can ask them in the comments under the Q&A videos, or under the notifications asking for questions on SubscribeStar. Be well and happy and have a nice day.

    2. Its an interesting bit of drama if you're interested in reading leftist Buddhists freaking out when their leftism turns on them.

On another topic, a question just occurred to me about the rule against monks handling money. I was reading a sutta yesterday, and I honestly can't remember if it was even a Buddhist sutta because I was also reading some suttas in the Jain Uttarâdhyayana as translated by Herman Jacobi in Sacred Books of the East Volume 45, so it might have been a Jain sutta. But whatever sutta it was said that monks are not to receive silver or gold. So my question is if the vinaya rule could be re-interpreted to allow the use of fiat paper currency by monks, particularly in cases where it is not even backed by silver or gold.

    3. Thanks, I will look into this because the hysteria and absurdity of leftist PC Buddhism is a topic of interest to me.

As for money matters, a bhikkhu is not allowed to handle gold or silver, although the ancient commentary interprets that to mean anything that is used as money. So paper dollars or digital dollars would still be verboten. Furthermore, monks are not allowed even to consent to somebody handling the money on their behalf. So not breaking money rules in the west is damn near impossible for most monks.

  2. About the Burmese girl exercising on stream while the coup happened behind her. I'm so glad she wore a mask to protect the people watching on the internet from getting the coof. That could have been dangerous.
